Carlton Players are serving up another traditional Christmas time Pantomime on 15/16/17 December 2017, with matinees on both 15th and 16th. Running over Friday, Saturday and Sunday the matinees

This year’s offering is a NODA published pantomime, Dick Whittington and his Cat, written by the prolific Peter Denyer. Those of you of a certain age may remember Peter Denyer from his role as Dennis in ‘Please Sir’. Well he now writes hilarious pantomimes!
This version of Dick Whittington goes along the traditional lines.
The story sees Dick arrive in London, with Tommy the Cat, seeking his fortune. He soon saves the townsfolk, from a plague of rats and is given work by Alderman Fitzwarren as a reward. Of course he falls in love with Alice, the Alderman’s daughter and all looks rosy. However, Queen Rat has other ideas and hatches a plan to get rid of Dick, getting him accused of theft and banished from London. Dick of course does not give in and embarks on a perilous sea voyage with Tommy, Sarah, her son Idle Jack
Don’t miss this superb traditional panto, with songs, dance, (featuring a great local dance troupe) he’s behind yous and Oh no you didn’ts, hisses and boos, and laughs galore. Great fun for all the family and the mop scene will have you in hysterics.
