About us

The Carlton Little Theatre on Grange Road West, Birkenhead is the last surviving theatre in Birkenhead and is home to the Carlton Players

The theatre is housed inside an old church converted in the 1950s and has staged many productions over the decades, and is volunteer run by people who love theatre.

We are a fully accessible theatre, with a licenced bar.

Today, as well as the Carlton Players, the theatre is regularly hired out to other community drama, musical and dance groups.

We are proud to have recently added to our  270 seater auditorium, a 60 seater in our studio bar downstairs.
